Servion expands in Chennai

Chennai, Mar 28 (UNI) Servion Global Solutions today announced that it had expanded to a new three-storeyed facility here to house its increasing employee strength, in line with its growth plans.

The company had moved to the new 11,000 sq ft facility in the IT corridor at Taramani, where it would shift its global development organisation and overseas software development teams, a release said.

It had also expanded its operations in Princeton, New Jersey and Silicon Valley to support larger and complex customer projects.

The expansion envisaged Servion ramping up its head count by over 100 in the next quarter.

Servion also planned to acquire more space by the year end to cater to its growing business requirements. 'The pipeline is pretty strong and we expect to further ramp-up our India operations by the end of 2006. We plan to increase our employee strength to 460 by the second quarter and expand this further by year-end,' Servion MD and CEO K Balakrishnan said.
