Sensex loses early gains, trades flat at 11,087

Mumbai, Mar 28: The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today opened with a gain of 35 points at 11,114, as compared to the last close of 11,079.

Sensex was, however, losing the early morning gains trading at 11,087 points with a gain of 8.53 points later.

Yesterday, Sensex had closed above the 11,000 mark for the first time.

It touched a new high of 11,146 points in the morning trade before losing the gains.

Most of the sectoral indices were trading in the red at this hour but BSE IT and TECk indices were in the positive zone.

The top gainers on the Sensex were - Maruti, Infosys, Grasim Industries, Gujarat Ambuja Cements, Wipro, Hero Honda, Tata Motors, HDFC, Bajaj Auto and HLL.

The top losers on the Sensex were - Dr Reddy's Lab, ITC, Tata Steel, BHEL, Reliance Energy, ICICI Bank, Tata Power, Reliance, Satyam Computer and ACC.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) S&P CNX Nifty was trading at 3,326.70 with a gain of five points, as compared to the last close of 3,321.
