Rupee opens flat at 44.68/70 per USD

Mumbai, Mar 28: The rupee today opened at 44.68/70 per US dollar, as compared to the last close of 44.66/68, a foreign exchange (forex) dealer here said.

Rupee traded almost unchanged at Rs 44.67/68 per US dollar in the mid-morning session.

The slowdown in the foreign fund inflow in the equity markets which was just Rs 137.50 crore on last Friday might put pressure on the rupee.

The crude oil price was quoted at Rs 64.15 in the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), a matter of concern for rupee.
