Proper enforcement of law to ease tension in Bihar : Kalam
Patna, Mar 28 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today said Bihar would be free from tension if law was enforced here properly.
To a query of one of the members of the Bihar Chamber of Commerce (BCC) during an interactive session here, Dr Kalam said there would be peace in the state if law was enforced properly.
He urged the people to avoid being involved in unlawful activities and suggested them to be a ''capital of knowledge'' instead of becoming a ''capital of problems''.
To another issue, raised by another BBC member Ms Pushpa Chopra, who pleaded that despite sincere efforts, women were still striving for their recognition in the society, the President said the fifty per cent reservation given to the women in Panchayat elections would empower the better half of the society, where they would have lots of opportunities.
Dr Kalam further said the ten missions suggested by him would certainly bring an atmosphere conducive for financial investment in the state like Bihar.
