Prince Charles visits NIPER

Mohali, Mar 28 (UNI) Prince Charles today visited National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) here, and assured to look into the possibility for an exchange programme between the drug scientists of the United Kingdom and India.

The Prince visited the NIPER's Natural Plant Garden, technical development centre and the herbal section.

Prof K K Bhutani, Dean and Head of the Department of Nature Products made a small presentation on NIPER's role in pioneering health care in India.

The Prince showed keen interest in the NIPER's herb development programme and also assured the possible assistance to the institute, a spokesman of NIPER here said.
