Kalam to address legislatures of Bihar
Patna, Mar 28: President A P J Abdul Kalam arrived here today (Mar 28, 2006) on a day long visit during which he is scheduled to address a joint session of the Bihar Assembly.
Amid heavy security arrangements, Dr Kalam arrived at Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport by an IAF plane.
The President was given a warm welcome at the airport by Bihar Governor Gopal Krishan Gandhi, State Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Opposition leader in the state Assembly Rabri Devi and senior authorities of the Indian Army.
Dr Kalam drove straight to the state Assembly to address a joint session of the state legislature.
Dr Kalam would fly back this afternoon after addressing a function at Bihar Chamber of Commerce.
