President identifies core areas for development
Patna, Mar 28 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today identified five core areas for development to achieve the goal of uplifting people living below the poverty line.
Addressing a joint session of the legislative council and assembly of Bihar here, Dr Kalam said the country would have to boost GDP growth rate from the existing 8 per cent to 10 per cent and maintain it for a decade.
Food security, education, healthcare, information and communication technology and infrastructure development, providing urban facilities in rural areas, would need special attention to improve the lot of the people.
