Pondy Cong to ally with DPA

Pondicherry, Mar 28 (UNI) AICC General Secretary V Narayanasamy (MP) today said the Congress in the union territory would face the coming assembly elections in alliance with the constituents of the Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA).

Talking to newspersons here, he said AICC secretary in charge of Pondicherrry Mr Hariprasad was holding talks with the leaders of other political parties. The talks were progressing smoothly.

He charged that the police and election department had acted in a partisan manner on the youth congress volunteers and registered cases against them on a complaint from the BJP while, no action was taken on the Youth Congress's complaint against the BJP.

Sharply criticising AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha for her remarks against AICC President Sonia Gandhi on her resignation, Mr Narayanasamy said the people of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry will teach the AIADMK a fitting lesson in the coming assembly elections.
