Notification issued for second phase Bengal polling

Kolkata, Mar 28 (UNI) The Governor today issued notification for the second phase of polling in four districts of West Bengal.

The polling for the second phase on April 22 rpt April 22 will be held for 66 seats in East Midnapore, Hooghly, Howrah and Nadia districts.

With the notification the process for filing nomination also started. The last date for filing nomination is April four.

Filing of nomination for the first phase, which started on March 24, will continue till March 31.

Polling in the first phase on April 17 will be held in West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia district.

The state will witness polling in five phases--for the first time in the history. The third, fourth and fifth phases will be held respectively on April 27, May three and eight.
