No rebels after party's final list: Chennithala
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 28 (UNI) The Congres in Kerala today said there will not be any rebels in the fray once the party's final list of candidates for the three-phased assembly polls is announced within two days.
Talking to mediapersons here, Pradesh Congress President Ramesh Chennithala hoped that all the rebel candidates would withdraw their nomination papers after the final list.
He also warned of strict action against persons who went against the party's decision.
Claiming that for the first time in the history of the Congress, maximum seats were allotted to new faces, the KPCC chief said the party would consider the issue of giving more seats to women.
Regarding the announcement of the remaining party seats, Mr Chennithala said the list would be submitted to the party High Command after discussions with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and other senior leaders.
He urged the Congress workers not to conduct any kind of agitations against the Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran), whcih had recentely entered into an electoral understanding with the Congress.
