It's waste of time and money: Whip

Hyderabad, Mar 28 (UNI) The wasting of 13 hours and 45 minutes time by members of various parties in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly during the Budget session cost the state exchequer Rs 82.50 lakh, Government Chief Whip N Kirankumar Reddy said today.

The main opposition TDP topped the list, wasting seven hours and four minutes followed by the TRS (2.48 hrs), CPI(M) (1.15 hrs), CPI(one hr), AIMIM (41 min), BJP (33 min), Congress (19 min), Janata Party (four min) and BSP(one min), he told reporters outside the Assembly.

The TDP had stalled the proceedings on various issues, including the Sripadasagar project and while parties like the TRS and CPI had 'realised' the papers produced by the TDP were fake after going through the files before the Major irrigation Minister, he claimed.

The ruling party was forced to stage noisy protest when Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu made baseless allegations during the debate on the Sripadasagar project, he added.
