ICSA India secures patent for DTMS
Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) Energy auditing firm ICSA India has received provisional patent for its development product - distribution transformer monitoring system (DTMS) from the controller of patents, Government of India.
Monitoring distribution transformer remotely in urban and rural environment is increasingly gaining importance in power sector reforms' programme.
The company's solution claims to have all the functional requirements and flexibility built-in to address future trends in energy audit.
DTMS is used for control purpose, which also enables to balance the load in a feeder at sub-station, since it has measurement function as a part of the system, a company release here said.
It is designed with a modular concept to scale it up or down, based on the rating, number of consumers and type of consumers connected with the transformer.
The company envisages that the product will act as POS (point of sale) equipment for future franchise and trading activities of energy in India.
