Huge cache of arms seized near Haflong

Haflong, Mar 28 (UNI) A huge cache of arms and ammunition was today seized from a car at Umrangso in Karbi-Anglong district of Asom.

The consignment was from one Niranjan Hojai, a DHD (Jewel group) cadre and the car was on its way from Shillong to Haflong.

The owner of the car ,the driver and an Assam police constable who was also in the car, were taken into custody.

The cache included one mm 20 pistol and a 9 mm pistol, three rocket launcher shells, seven small shells, six cartridges, one lethod gun and one Chinese-made grenade, besides several rounds of ammunition.
