Haryana to set up inland container depot at Bawal
Chandigarh, Mar 28 (UNI) The Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation Limited (HSIDC) will soon set up an Inland Container Depot over an area of 20 acres at its Industrial Growth Centre at Bawal.
Informing this today, a spokesman of HSIDC said that Bawal had attracted investments from a large number of multinational and domestic companies. He said that a number of industrial units in the Bawal industrial estate had already come into commercial production and were generating a lot of goods for outbound destinations within and outside the country.
Giving information about the eligibility criteria, he stated that companies having at least three years' experience in the area of container transportation or related field could submit project reports before April 30.
The spokesman maintained that the rate of the allotment would be Rs 800 per square metres and 10 per cent of the cost of land would have to be deposited along with the application. The next 15 per cent would have to be deposited within 30 days of the issue of the allotment letter and the remaining 75 per cent either in lump sum within 60 days of the issue of the allotment letter without interest or in eight half yearly installments with 11 per cent rate of interest per annum on the unpaid amount.
