Gadaria bandits abduct passengers; mostly businessmen
Sheopur, MP, Mar 28 (UNI) Dacoits abducted eight persons, including seven passengers, this morning and later set on fire the bus they were travelling in at Nonpura Ghat of his district.
Most of the abductees are high-profile businessmen, police said. They said Rambabu Gadaria dacoit gang was suspected to be involved in the incident as the gang had earlier warned that it would abduct passengers of the vehicle that plies on the Indore-Sheopur route.
Six of the passengers were identified as Manish Agrawal, Amit Shrivastav, Hitendra Jain, Pramod Gupta, Shishupal (Guna) and Anup Kumar Sharma.
As the Indore-Sheopur luxury bus reached Nonpura Ghat under Karahal police station, about 50 Km from here, the dacoits stopped the bus. Two youth, who reached there on a motor cycle, were also stopped.
According to a complaint lodged by bus driver Gurudev Singh, about a dozen dacoits selectively looted the passengers after asking their names.
