FCI OEN Connectors announces 22.5 per cent dividend

Kochi, Mar 28 (UNI) FCI OEN Connectors Ltd., manufacturers of connectors for automotive, industry and communication sectors, today announced a dividend of 22.5 per cent for the year ending December 31, 2005.

In a press release here, the Kochi-based company said its net sales increased by 25 per cent to Rs 1409 million from Rs 1130 million in 2004.

While domestic sales rose by 16 per cent to Rs 581 million, export sales grew by 31 per cent to Rs 828 million. Profit before tax was up by 36 per cent to Rs 351 million against Rs 257 million in 2004.

Stating that automotive data markets in the domestic sector were promising, it said automotive capacity expansion was expected to be operational by the second half of 2006. Cable assembly business and export of new generation connectors had a positive outlook on the export front.
