Dry days announced in Asom

Guwahati, Mar 28 (UNI) The Asom government has prohibited sale of all types of liquor for three days prior to polling and on the day of counting.

In a release here yesterday, the government announced ''dry day'' from 1600 hours on April 1 to 1600 hours on April 3 and between similar hours from April 8 to 10 for the first and second phase of polls respectively.

Dry day has also been announced on May 11, the day counting of votes would take place, the release added.
