CPI-ML to field 39 candiates in Kerala polls

Thrissur, Mar 28 (UNI) The CPI(ML) will field candidates in 39 constituencies in Kerala in the coming Assembly elections, party gentral secretary K N Ramachandran said today.

Addressing a news conference here, he said that his party was fielding candidates in these constituencies as part of its effort to give people an alternative to the UDF, LDF and BJP.

The CPI(ML) would extend support to the People's Front candidate in Nattika in Thrissur district and Plachimada agitation leader Mylamma in Chittoor in Palakkad district.

In Kozhikode, the party would back the Farmers Relief Forum candidates, Mr Ramachandran added.

State party secretary K Sivaraman and secretariat members P N Provind and A K Asokan were also present at the news conference.
