Congress alleges violation of model code by ruling AIADMK

Chennai, Mar 28 (UNI) TNCC President M Krishnasamy today demanded that the Election Commission must take immediate action against the ruling AIADMK for ''blatantly'' violating the model code of conduct.

In a statement here, Mr Krishnasamy said even after the Election Commission came out with clear guidelines, the AIADMK government was distributing free bicycles to school students, violating the model code of conduct.

He alleged that trucks loaded with bicycles have been despatched to various districts and arrangements were being made to distribute them to school students.

The government and ruling partymen have ignored the election rules and freely indulging in anti-democratic acts, he alleged and demanded action.
