Collision between tankers causes major fire

Kanpur, Mar 28 (UNI) A major fire broke out following a collision between two fuel tankers on Allahabad-Kanpur highway near Maharajpur today.

Police said the incident involved gas tanker and diesel tankers.

The blaze soon spread in the adjoinging areas and the movement of the traffic on the highways was affected for a few hours.

Five fire teners were pressed into services, which controlled the blaze in two hrs.

Another fire incident in Yashodanagar under Naubasta area damaged machines, raw material and furniture of a factory.
