Celebrations over Bhajjis feat in ODI

Jalandhar, Mar 28 (UNI) Atmoshpere of cheers and joy prevailed at the residence of star off spinner Harbhajan Singh here as the family and friends of the Turbanator celebrated his spactacular performance in the first ODI between India and England at the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium in New Delhi today.

As soon as the match concluded and Harbhajan was declared ''Man of the Match,'' the friends and family members gathered at his residence in the Qazi Mohalla here and started to perform Bhangra.

Bhajji's mother Mrs Avtar Kaur and sister Amrit Kaur were busy in distributing sweets.

Mrs Avtar Kaur expressed satisfaction over the feat achieved by her son and pointed out that although Harbhajan had been performing well of late but he was not getting wickets. Today he got wickets as well as runs, she said.

Harbhajan Singh top scored with 37 and then bared his fangs for a career-best haul of five for 31 to turn the course of the match.
