CBSE puts up list of candidates affected by fire

New Delhi, Mar 28: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today (Mar 28, 2006) put up on its website a list of roll numbers of 3,565 students whose class ten Science and Technologies answer-books were destroyed in a fire here last week.

The re-examination for the paper will be held on April 8 for the candidates who do not accept the average marks in the best three subjects.

The Board also put up the list of 20 examination centres where the students had written the paper. The roll numbers can be accessed by clicking on the respective centre's name on the website.

Thousands of answer-sheets of Science and Technology paper were destroyed in a fire at Ludlow Castle Sarvodaya Vidhyalaya on Shamnath Marg in North-Delhi on March 23 due to a suspected short-circuit.

Following are the names of the Centres: Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya Delhi Cantt, Government Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya D-Block Janakpuri, Government Girls Secondary School No 2 D-Block Janakpuri, Government Co Education Secondary School Sector B1 Vasant Kunj, Government Boys Senior Secondary School Moti Bagh-I, Government Co Education Senior Secondary School Sector V R K Puram, Government Government Boys Senior Secondary School Sector II R K Puram, Sarvodaya Boys Senior Secondary School No-1 Sarojini Nagar, Ryan International School C-8 Vasant Kunj, D A V Public School Sector B- Pkt-1 Vasant Kunj, Sadhu Vaswani International School (Girls) Shanti Niketan, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sect-IV R K Puram, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sector-II R K Puram, Government Boys Senior Secondary School No 4 Sarojini Nagar, Government Boys Senior Secondary School 1 Najafgarh, Government Boys Senior Secondary School 2 Najafgarh, Sarvodaya Senior Secondary School Najafgarh, Government Girls Senior Secondary School No 3 Najafgarh, Government Sarvodaya Co education Vidyalaya Jaffar Pur Kalan and Sarvodaya Girls Senior Secondary School Chhawla.
