Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) A bomb hoax created panic at the Dadar railway station here today and affected the train schedule to some extent.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) office received an anonymous call around 1700 hours with the caller claiming that a bomb had been planted on platform number one of the Dadar railway station.

Police swung into action immediately and a bomb disposal squad thoroughly searched the entire platform for almost an hour. However, the call proved to be a hoax and no explosives were found.

Local trains, passing through platform number one, were diverted to other platforms. Normal train services have now been restored.
