All arrangements made for Solar Eclipse Fair

Kurukshetra, Mar 28 (UNI) The district administration has finalised all arrangements for facilitating the devotees visiting the Solar Eclipse Fair here tomorrow.

An official spokesman said here today all the fair area had been divided into 12 sectors with tight security arrangement had been made by the administration. Each such sector equipped with a health centre, telephone, fire tender under a Sector Magistrate's vigil.

He said a reception room had also been set up at every entry point of the city where all necessary information regarding the fair would be available. An additional control room had also been set up in Gulzari Lal Nanda Memorial hall.

Adjacent to the Brahmsarovar near Gulzari Lal Nanda Memorial hall, an extensive parking site has been prepared for the first time by levelling 40 acres of land, which would facilitate the visitors to park their vehicles.

Similarly, parking sites have also been earmarked for the visitors at different places of the city.

He said that besides the permanent bus terminus at Pipli, four additional temporary bus stands at Thanesar, Jhansa road, Pehowa road and New Anaj Mandi had also been earmarked for the visitors.

He said an information entre had also been set up in the conference hall of Sri Krishna Museum by the Public Relations Department.

For providing better healthcare in the fair, the State Health Department had deputed 70 doctors in different health centres. He said 17 primary health centres, three Ayurvedic dispensaries, two hospitals and 15 ambulances had been provided for medical aid to the visitors. Ten safety centres had also been se tup to help the visitors in wake of emergency.

He said adequate lighting arrangements, widening of roads, 16 motor boats, 20 divers, 20 swimmers in both the two Sarovars had also been provided by the administration to avoid any kind of difficulty or drowning during the Solar Eclipse Fair.
