Advani Rajnath 'Bharat Suraksha Yatras' starts on Apr 6
New Delhi, Mar 28: Leader of the Opposition L K Advani and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh will undertake separate yatras from April 6 to draw the attention to Jehadi and Left wing extremism, minority politics and the 'misuse' of institutions for the sake of projecting a 'fake political culture' in the country.
Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu who is incharge of the twin yatras said they have been renamed as 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra'. They had earlier been collectively titled as National Integration Yatra.
The two leaders will travel from east to west of the country and reach Delhi on May 10.
''We intend to focus on national security threats both from the internal and external sources,'' Mr Naidu said.
The policies pursued by the UPA will be highlighted by the two leaders in the nationwide yatra excluding the states going to the polls.
