4 boys drowned in Mysore

Mysore, Karnataka, Mar 28 (UNI) Four boys have drowned in the Lingabuddhi tank on the outskirts of the city here, police said today.

The mishap occurred when the boys ventured into the tank for a swim yesterday, they said.

On a complaint lodged by their parents, the police launched search operations and fished out the bodies from the tank today morning.

The victims were identified as Vikas (18), Gurupreet Singh (14), Shivakumar (12) and Jagadesh (13). Vikas and Gurupreet Singh had come from Hubli to their relative's house to spend their holidays.

The bodies were handed over to their parents after post mortem, the police added.
