35 kg tumour removed from woman's stomach

Tinsukia, Mar 28 (UNI) A giant tumour of about 35 kg, was removed from the stomach of a woman at Ronotisco hospital in Margherita.

The tribal woman, identified as Goma Munda of lama village of Margehrita, was operated upon by Dr Hiren Borgohain and Dr D K Gohain.

According to the doctors, the woman initially mistook it as pregnancy but when the size grew abnormally, she was brought to the hospital and clinical tests revealed presence of a tumour.

The operation was carried out on March 22 and she was now recovering.
