35 kg tumour removed from a woman in Asom
Tinsukia, Mar 28 (UNI) She was expecting to deliver her first baby. But when the size of her stomach became abnormal, a clincal test dignosed for a giant tumour of about 35 kgs, almost of her weight, which was succesfully operated upon by surgeons of Ronotisco hospital of Margherita recently.
The tribal woman, identified as Goma Munda of lama village of Margehrita, was operated upon by Dr Hiren Borgohain and Dr D K Gohain.
The name of the tumour was Pseudo Mucinous Cist Adeona.
According to the doctors, the woman initially mistook it as pregnancy but when the size grew abnormally, she was brought to the doctors and clincal tests revealed she had a ginat tumour.
The operation was carried out on March 22 and now she was recovering fast.
