17 kgs 'ganja', 500 gm heroin seized, 2 arrested

New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI) Police have arrested two drug traffickers and seized 17 kgs of 'ganja' and 500 grams of heroin in two raids from two districts in Delhi.

In the first police raid, 45-year-old Rani was arrested from GTB Enclave in North-East Delhi yesterday, followingspecific information, police said today.

Seventeen bags of 'ganja' weighing 17 kgs were seized from her residence.

In the second raid in North-West Delhi, Narcotics Branch sleuths arrested Hukum Singh, a known peddlar, along with 500 grams of heroin from Rithala area in Rohini yesterday.

Hukum Singh (32) was presently on bail and had been arrested in connection with possession of 1.5 kgs of heroin in November last year, police added.
