Over Rs 27,000 cr worth industrial projects cleared
Bangalore, Mar 25 (UNI) The new JD(S)-BJP coalition Government in Karnataka has cleared 25 mega industrial projects, worth Rs 27,667 crore, at a high-level meeting held here yesterday, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said today.
Talking to reporters here, he said the proposed projects would come up in Bangalore, Hassan, Belgaum, Dharwad, Gulbarga, Mysore, Raichur and Udupi districts, providing job opportunities to over seven lakh people.
The Chief Minister said the Government had cleared an investment of Rs 21,844.26 crore in the IT sector alone, followed by Rs 300 crore in tourism and Rs 265 crore in textiles.
