Bangalore, Mar 25 (UNI) The Bangalore Media Centre, a non-profitable service organisation, today announced opening of its centre to serve as a bridge between elected representatives and the general public, civic organisations and media.

The centre, built at a cost of Rs 25 lakh at the Legislators Home premises in the State Secretariat, would be ready for inauguration on March 30, according to a BMC release here.

The centre had an exhaustive data bank, providing detailed information on population, caste-wise composition, industrial base, agriculture pattern and irrigational problems.

BMC would also launch video conferencing facility in every district to bridge the gap between Legislators and the electorate.

Legislators could interact with media representatives of their districts during Legislature session and convey their achievements, plans and difficulties in fulfilling the aspirations of the people, the release said.
