3 ultras killed in encounter

Jagdalpur, Mar 25 (UNI) Police today claimed to have shot dead three naxalites in an encounter in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

The encounter took place in Bhairamgarh police station area early this morning. Police recovered the body of a naxalite, besides a gun and ammunition, Bastar Range Inspector General of Police M W Ansari said today.

The naxalites carried away the bodies of their two colleagues, he said.

In another encounter between naxalites and security forces in Kanker district yesterday, police, which claimed the death of three ultras, recovered only one body.
