'World of Titan' opens new showroom in TN capital

Chennai, Mar 24 (UNI) 'The World of Titan' showroom chain today comprised 181 franchise stores spread across 105 cities in the country attracting more than 12 lakh customers every year, Mr Sandeep Kulhalli, Business Head-Retailing Services Group, Titan Industries today said.

Launching the 182nd showroom in the city today, Mr Kulhalli said Titan always held a leadership position in the country's watch market and the showroom chain had been established to reinforce its dominant position.

He said Titan was the country's leading producer of watches and credited with changing the face of the Indian watch industry. It enjoyed a domestic market share in excess of 60 per cent in the organised watch market.

Its annual turnover was Rs 1,134.66 crore in 2004-05.As a producer-marketer, they offered Indian and international customers a very large range of products to suit various tastes and budgets,he added.

Mr Sanjay Jain, the showroom franchisee, said they will will continue to encourage customers to 'browse' the offerings with no pressure on them to buy the product.

The showroom will also offer superior service to the customers with several improved and distinguished offerings and services.

He said the new showroom launched a special consumer promotion drive -- 'Make a wish.' Every person walking into the showroom could win a free watch by dropping the 'make a wish' form with model number of the watch they desire to own.

One lucky winner will take home a watch of his choice everyday till April two next, he added.
