Trains suspended on Maoist threat
Midnapore, Mar 23 (UNI) All train movements between Bankura and Midnapore railway stations remained suspended from midnight yesterday to this morning following a warnings from the Maoists, District Magistrate West Midnapore District Dusmant Nariala said.
At about midnight yesterday some men in olive green uniform came to the Lines Man in Bhadutala Railway Cabin only 6 kms ahead of Midnapur Railway stations and handed him a paper with a warning to stop all trains on the route as high explosives had been implanted below the train line near Salboni Railway station.
As a result all trains were stopped in different stations between Bankura and Midnapur.
A through search throughout the night however yielded nothing. SP Ajay Nand rushed to the spot with a big police contingent. No arrest has yet been reported, DM said.
