Ticket sale for ODI in Goa to begins tomorrow

Written by: Staff

Margao, Mar 24 (UNI) The sale of tickets for the third one day interntional cricket match between India and England to be held in Goa on April 3 will start from tomorrow and the tickets will be sold through various Syndicate Bank branch outlets in North and South Goa.

Goa Cricket Association (GCA) secretary Chetan Dessai said 13,600 tickets would be handed over to Syndicate Bank today.

The tickets are priced at Rs 400, Rs 750, Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000.

Dessai said the tickets, which have been printed in Pune, have special security features which will make their duplication impossible. Any attempt to duplicate the original ticket will damage it.

He said the tickets have an invisible ink mark on it which can be tested under a UV lamp and the tickets are non-tearable.

The GCA secretary maintained that a sell-out crowd is expected for the match, despite the fact that there is an air of disappointment about Sachin Tendulkar's absence.

He said, ''Although star batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been ruled out of the entire ODI series against England due to a shoulder injury, his absence does not seem to worry the GCA as far as the sale of tickets is concerned.'' UNI SRN KU/GK PDS BS1630
