Tata Motors ED Praveen Kadle wins best CFO award

Mumbai, Mar 24 (UNI) Tata Motors Executive Director (finance and corporate affairs) Praveen Kadle has bagged Business Today's best CFO award which was presented yesterday evening here by ICICI Bank Managing Director and CEO K V Kamath.

Six CFOs (chief financial officers) made to the final round after scrutiny of their performance on several parameters set by the jury.

The five other CFOs who made it to the final and were also felicitated at the award function included -- Bharat Forge's Vice President (finance) Sanjeev Joglekar, Dabur India CFO Rajan Varma, Infosys Technologies CFO T V Mohan Das Pai, Reliance Industries President (finance) Alok Agarwal and Tata Steel Vice President (finance) Kaushik Chatterjee.

On the importance of CFOs in today's businesses, India Today group Editor-in-Chief Aroon Purie said, ''Today's CFOs not only count beans but also help them plant, grow and harvest.'' Stock markets today reward companies that contributed in value creation and CFOs' role in the company was crucial in this regard.
