Taj stresses for use of non conventional Energy
Jammu, Mar 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Science and Information Technology, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, today emphasised the use of non-conventional energy in view of the changing energy scenario and fast depletion of fossil fuels.
Inaugurating a two-day exhibition on new and renewable sources of energy at the Government Boys Polytechnic College, organised by the J&K Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) in collaboration with Union Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources, he said JAKEDA has taken up the project of electrifying un-electrified villages and hamlets of the state under the Remote Village Electrification Programme of the Centre.
The agency was at present in the process of providing solar home lights in many areas in the state, he added.
