Prime accused in ex RLD MLA killing surrenders

Aligarh, Mar 24 (UNI) The prime accused in the March 20 killing of former Rastriya Lok Dal MLA Chowdhary Malkhan Singh surrendered before a court here today.

Police said the accused Tejvir Singh alias Guddu, today surrendered before a local court.

Twelve out of the 18 accused in the murder have been arrested so far. On being interrogated, the arrested revealed that a sum of Rs five lakh was promised to them for committing the crime, of which Rs 1.5 lakh had already been paid by the prime accused.

Unidentified car-borne miscreants had on March 20 shot dead former Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) MLA from Aligarh, Chowdhary Malkhan Singh and his gunner under Kuwarsi area of Aligarh district.

Another person was wounded in the ghastly attack.

RLD is the major alliance partner in the Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government.
