Petrol dealers' bandh continues for second day

Kolhapur, Mar 24 (UNI) Petrol dealers continued their bandh for the second day today to protest the sealing of a petrol pump by the revenue department officials here, causing inconvenience to the customers.

The State revenue department has undertaken a campaign to collect conversion tax and in this connection, they sealed a petrol pump on Wednesday for the failure by its owner to pay the tax.

The Kolhapur petrol dealers association, which is against the imposition of the tax by the State government, in its meeting yesterday condemned the action of revenue department, and in protest called the bandh.

The dealers said they would continue their agitation till the Government takes action to stop the drive.
