NYKS deputy quits in support to Sonia

Bhopal, Mar 24 (UNI) Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Vice-Chairperson Meenakshi Natarajan, who is also Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress (YC) president, has resigned from the NYKS in support of Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

In her resignation, dispatched to Union Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar, she wrote that Mrs Gandhi established a tradition of high standards of morality and abnegation in politics by quitting as MP and NAC chairperson.

''I will not occupy any office of profit until Mrs Gandhi is re-elected to the Lok Sabha,'' Ms Natarajan said.

State YC General Secretary Chandrakant Dubey today said here Ms Natarajan sent the letter yesterday. She was appointed last May in the NYKS capacity and enjoyed minister-of-state status.
