M Roy takes over as new Executive Director of SAIL

Kolkata, Mar 24 (UNI) Mr M Roy has taken over as the new Executive Director of the public sector Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in charge of Raw Materials division here.

Before taking charge on March 22, Mr Roy was the Executive Director of the Salem Steel Plant, another unit of SAIL.

A successful marketing professional, Mr Roy had been working in the steel industry for over three decades.

He joined the marketing division of Indian Iron and Steel Company(IISCO) in 1974 and became the Chief within the next five years.

Mr Roy also headed the material management division of IISCO before becoming the Executive Director of SAIL'S growth division in 2001, official sources here said.
