Heroin worth Rs 50 lakh seized, two held

Kushinagar, Mar 24 (UNI) The police today held two drug peddlers from this East Uttar Pradesh district and seized heroin worth Rs 50 lakh.

Police said here that the two drug peddlers were arrested with the contraband from Thailand during a routine check in Tamkuhi area.

The contraband was valued at Rs 50 lakh in international market.

On being interrogated later, the arrested duo admitted to carting the contraband to the state through neighbouring Nepal and Bihar.
