Govt loses 99 per cent court cases: Rio
Kohima, Mar 24(UNI) The ruling and opposition members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly today emphasized the need to address the deteriorating 'justice delivery' system in Nagaland.
Replying to a cut motion to demands for grants in the floor of the House, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said this has become a serious issue and needs to be addressed immediately by arresting the criminals and officials who are misusing the justice system.
He said 99 per cent of the government cases are defeated in court, which is a serious proportion and where justice and verdict of the court is highly questionable.
He held the state government advocates responsible for this and suspected them of of being hand in gloves with the criminals.
