Bottle of liquor seized from passenger on bus to Pakistan

Amritsar, Mar 24 (UNI) The police seized a bottle of liquor from the baggage of a passenger who was bound for Pakistan on board the Amritsar-Nankana Sahib bus, which was flagged off by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here today.

The seizure was made when Punjab Police personnal conducted a search of the baggage of all the passengers at the International Bus Terminal. After the checking by the policemen, the bus proceeded to Ranjit Avenue where the PM flagged off the 45-seater luxury Volvo coach of the Punjab Roadways.

The passenger from whom the liquor was seized is a resident of Jalandhar.
