BMC launches demolition drive in Mumbai
Mumbai, Mar 24 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today launched a demolition drive in all its 24 wards in the metropolis.
BMC Commissioner Johny Joseph had issued an order yesterday to all the ward officers to demolish the illegal structures constructed after 2000.
BMC spokesperson Dadasaheb Shivjatak today said the demolition drive has been taken up on a massive level since this morning in all the 24 wards by the officials, with the help of local police personnel.
The drive is being carried out at Senapati Bapat Marg in Dadar, Elphinstein road, Dharavi, Phule market near Dadar railway station and other adjoining areas.
