Another Varanasi police officer shifted

Lucknow, Mar 24 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today shifted Suprintendent of Police (Rural) of Varanasi Paresh Pandey in the wake of March 7 twin bomb blasts in the holy city.

He has been transferred as the Deputy Commandant of 33rd PAC Battalion at Jhansi, according to an official spokesman.

Additional SP of Jyotiba Phule Nagar Lalit Kumar Singh will replace him in Varanasi.

The state government had earlier removed Varaansi Senior Suprintendent of Police (SSP) Navneet Sikera on March 11 last.
