'72 Taboot' procession taken out in Allahabad

Allahabad, Mar 24 (UNI) The '72 Taboot' procession -- considered to be the pride of Allahabad's Moharram -- was taken out from the Imambara Dariabad here today.

The procession signifying the sacrifices of Hazarat Imam Hussain and his 71 followers, culminated at the Dargah Imam Hussain, Dariabad, after covering 12 localities of the city.

The participants, including burqa-clad women performed 'Ziarat' and offered flowers, cotton sheets to each taboot, besides offering gram, milk, boondi and other sweets.
