4 killed, 15 injured as truck falls into gorge

Udupi, Mar 24 (UNI) Four artistes of a Yakshagana troupe were killed and another 15 injured when a truck in which they were travelling fell into a 20 ft gorge and overturned near Jatkal cross at Kollur in this district of Karnataka today.

Police said the troupe after giving an overnight performance at Sagar in Shimoga district was proceeding to Edoor when the mishap occurred.

The injured were admitted to Manipal and Kundapur hospitals in South Kanara, the police added.
