Three injured in group clash

Rajkot, Mar 22 (UNI) As many as three people were injured in a clash here late last night between two groups at Junction plot area, police said today.

The clash occurred over a petty issue and the two groups used sharp weapons. One of them fired at least four rounds in the air, injuring a person who has been admitted to the civil hospital, police added.

Police Commissioner P Nytyanadam and Deputy Commissioner of Police M V Damor rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Though patrolling has been intensified in the area, situation is still tense. There was no business activity since this morning, with the traders preferring to down their shutters following the incident, the police said and added that no one has been arrested so far.
