Silver crosses Rs 14,700-mark, gold drifted lower

Mumbai, Mar 22 (UNI) Silver prices zoomed up at Rs 14,710 per kg while that of gold fell at Rs 8,020 per ten gm at the closing session today, traders at the bullion market here said.

Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 14,710 (14,480), Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 7,980 (8,000), Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 8,020 (8,045).
